In August 2017, Ridgewood purchased the Elmwood Country Club, located in Greenburgh, New York from club’s members. Upon acquisition, the property was zoned for single family homes. Ridgewood is currently in the process of seeking development approvals for a 113-lot single family home subdivision. Having recently received approval of its Environmental Impact Statement and zoning for a Conservation District overlay, Ridgewood is now finalizing the fully engineered plans for submittal to the Planning Board. The Conservation District overlay has allowed Ridgewood to create large areas of open space including a donation to the town of 14 acres of park land to dramatically increase the size of East Rumbrook Park. Upon entitlement, Ridgewood will sell the property to a regional or national homebuilder.
